Guildford Castle VR - the future of digital heritage
Guildford Castle is a free roaming, narrative VR experience with light interactivity, developed by Historic VR. Everything you see here was painstakingly modeled on the original castle and surrounding gardens, using lidar scanning and photogrammetry, augmented by state-of-the-art modelling techniques in the Unreal game engine. A short snippet of the Wimbledon 360 Film, shot in 2016, on behalf of the All England Lawn Tennis Club, with Figment Productions. Sentient Pictures scripted, shot 2nd unit VR camera, and managed Nokia Ozo post-production workflow. Tim Henman read the script. DOP was Ashley Meneely of Mad Eye Media.
